Cuplock Omega Transoms (Horizontals)
Cuplock omega transoms are parts of the British standard cuplock system scaffold. They are used to support 57mm scaffold battens in construction to form a work platform.
The width of the omega profile of the cuplock omega transom is 120mm. The depth is 60mm, which can take omega battens and boards at a height (board thickness) of 57mm.
The omega shape can prevent the plain ends of scaffold boards from moving effectively and ensure the walking platform is stable and safe in construction.
The British standard cuplock scaffolding is mostly in hot dip galvanized, the most durable scaffold surface treatment for steel scaffolding.

FAQs
Omega Transom vs. Cuplock Ledgers
Cuplock omega transom and ledgers are both horizontal parts of the cuplock system. They both have ledger blades at two ends to connect with cuplock verticals.
Cuplock omega transom is made of an inverted T-section structure, thus allowing omega battens with plain ends (without plank hooks). So, both steel omega transom and timber boards are matched.
Cuplock ledgers are made of OD48.3mm scaffold tubes. Meanwhile, omega battens do not work with cuplock ledgers. Only metal planks with hooks can work with the cuplock ledgers.
What is the Zinc Thickness of the Galvanized Cuplock Omega Transom?
The hot dip galvanizing thickness of the cuplock omega transom is more than 60 micro and meets the ISO 1461 standards.
