What is CE Certificate for Scaffolding Material

Scaffolding CE Certificate

The scaffolding CE certificate is a regulatory standard that verified scaffolding products are safe for sale and for use in European Economic Area(EEA).

Scaffolding material with CE Marking indicates the scaffold materials meet EU safety, health, and environmental protection requirements. The CE marking scaffold can be traded freely in any part of the EEA area. No matter the country of origin.

CE marking also a safety passport means the scaffolding products are safely sold and used in European countries.

Who can use CE marking for scaffolding product

Scaffolding materials are construction products in the CE regulation. Thus scaffolding products that want a CE marking need to conform to construction product requirements (CPR).

According to CPR, scaffolding material needs an independent conformity assessment if wants to use CE marking and sell in the European Economic Area.

At the same time, the scaffolding material assessment needs to be conducted by the notified body of the EU. Check the notified body in Nando (New Approach Notified and Designated Organisations) database.

According to the Nando member analysis, scaffolding material needs to pass European standards EN 1090 (Factory Production Control) and ISO 3834 ( Fusion Welding of Steel Structure Parts and Components).
