Applications of Wall Brackets Scaffold
Wall brackets are used for both construction and formwork.
- When wall-mounted bracket scaffolds are used in construction, they are attached to walls.
- When the carpenter wall brackets are used in formwork, they are connected to formwork panels and parts.
For Construction
Wall-mounted scaffold brackets in construction application:
- Masonry and Brickwork– Used for laying bricks, repairing walls, or installing veneer without obstructing lower levels.
- Siding and Stucco Installation– Provides a stable platform for applying stucco or installing siding.
- Painting and Façade Work– Allows workers to move freely along building exteriors while painting or performing finishing work.
- Roofing and Eaves Maintenance– Useful for tasks near the roofline, such as gutter installation, soffit repairs, or roof overhang maintenance.
- Window and Door Installation– Provides a secure working area for installing or replacing windows and doors on multi-story buildings.
- Industrial and Warehouse Maintenance– Used inside factories or warehouses for overhead repairs, lighting installation, or maintenance tasks.
How to Use The Work Platform Brackets in Construction
1. Planning & Safety Considerations
- Determine the height and spacing of the scaffold brackets based on the project’s requirements.
- Check the wall material (brick, concrete, wood, or steel) for proper anchoring.
- Verify load capacity and follow OSHA, CSA, or other applicable safety regulations.
2. Installing the Brackets
- Mark the Anchor Points: Measure and mark the exact locations where brackets will be attached, ensuring even spacing (typically 4-8 feet apart).
- Drill Anchor Holes: Use a drill to create holes at the marked points, ensuring they are deep and wide enough for the anchors.
- Secure the Brackets: Fasten the scaffold brackets to the wall using appropriate heavy-duty anchors, bolts, or lag screws. For concrete or masonry walls, use expansion anchors.
- Check Alignment: Ensure all brackets are level and evenly spaced for a stable working platform.
3. Installing the Scaffold Platform
- Place Wooden or Metal Planks: Lay scaffold-grade planks across the brackets to create the working platform.
- Secure the Planks: Fasten planks using clamps, screws, or other securing methods to prevent movement.
- Install Guardrails (if required): In high-elevation work, add guardrails for additional safety.
4. Conducting Safety Checks
- Inspect for any loose connections or structural weaknesses.
- Test the stability of the platform before using it.
- Ensure workers use harnesses and follow fall protection guidelines when required.
For Formwork
The scaffold service brackets have clamps or hooks, allowing them to be attached to formwork panels, edges, etc. They are used in a lot of formwork systems.
- Climbing Formwork Systems
- Wall Formwork System
- Column Formwork System
- Tunnel Formwork Systems
- Precast Formwork Systems
The service brackets are compatible with all types of steel, aluminium and wooden formwork systems to form convenience and safety work platforms during formwork pouring, concreting, tying, and operation.
How to Use the Scaffold Service Brackets In Formwork
Attaching to Formwork
- The brackets are clamped, bolted, or hooked onto formwork panels or beams.
- Securely fasten them at regular intervals to distribute the load evenly.
Installing the Platform
- Lay scaffold planks or metal decking across the brackets to create a stable working platform.
- Ensure proper securing to prevent movement during work.
Ensuring Safety Compliance
- Check load ratings and spacing to prevent overloading.
- Install guardrails and harness anchor points where required.
- Regularly inspect for wear, damage, or loosening.
