Kwikstage scaffolding is also called Kwickstage or Kstage. It is a modular metal scaffolding system with V-clips (stars) and wedge-pin locking mechanisms, which are widely used in construction and shoring. The Kwikstage scaffold system includes British Standard, Australian Standard, South African Standard, and Indonesian Standard.

Loading bay transoms are components of the British standard kwikstage scaffolding system used to form 8 ft-wide and 8 ft-long scaffolding loading bays (kwikstage scaffold tower).

The loading bay transoms are designed for high loads and are made of 100x50mm heavy-duty steel hollow-section box tubes with C pressings and wedges at each end. The C pressing wedges are fitted to the kwikstage verticals during installation. 

In the kwikstage loading bay construction, the loading bay transoms can accommodate 10 steel stages and form very wide work platforms for operations.

Kwikstage scaffold loading bay transoms can be finished in painted, coated, or hot-dip galvanised finishes for anti-corrosion and durability.

Loading Bay Transoms VS Kwikstage Transoms

Loading bay transoms are reinforced bridge transoms of the kwikstage scaffolding. It is a component for the loading bay scaffold tower. Normally, only one size of 8 feet.

Kwikstage scaffolding transoms are the typical horizontal parts without reinforced accessories, used to provide a seat for the scaffold stages (steel planks without hooks) in the kwickstage construction.  It can be in different sizes:

2. Two Board Transoms
3. Three Boards Transoms
4. Four Boards Transoms
5. Five Boards Transoms
